TR-DOS

TR-DOS is a disk operating system for the ZX Spectrum built by the British company Technology Research Ltd in 1984 for use with its Beta Disc and Beta 128 disc interfaces. It became the de facto standard for disk-based ZX Spectrum software in Russia, including modern homebrew releases, and a clone of its interface was used in the Russian Pentagon and Scorpion computers. TR-DOS handles several floppy disk formats, later versions add RAM disk support and some support hard disks, and unofficial enhanced versions have continued to appear since 1990, with a 6.10E release in 2006.
