SharpOS is a discontinued operating system written in C# and built on the .NET Framework, developed by volunteer contributors overseen by six project administrators including Mircea-Cristian Racasan and Bruce Markham. It offered only a basic command-line interface, released a single public version on January 1, 2008, and was one of three free and open source C#-based operating systems as of 2017; development was later redirected to the MOSA project.
