Jaishankar Menon (born August 9, 1956) is an Indian-American computer scientist known for his work on storage systems. He joined IBM's research team in San Jose, California, in 1982, where he developed RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) technology, and became an IBM Fellow in 2001 and an IBM Master Inventor. He received the IEEE W. Wallace McDowell Award in 2002 and the IEEE Reynold B. Johnson Information Storage Systems Award in 2006.
