Daniela Rus

Daniela Rus is a Romanian born American computer scientist who serves as the MIT Panasonic Professor of Computer Science and director of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the first woman to lead that laboratory. Her research spans distributed and networked robotics, self reconfiguring robot systems, soft and bio inspired robots, computational design and fabrication, and adaptive machine learning, with a central theme of integrating robot bodies, computational intelligence and physical environments.
