All Collaborative and Social Computing

Collaborative and Social Computing groups the computing pioneers in this atlas whose central, explicitly stated contribution concerns systems that support groups of people working, communicating, or forming communities together through computers. Members range from the researchers who founded computer-supported cooperative work as a field and built the first groupware and online community platforms, through those who studied collaborative online spaces, recommender and reputation systems for communities, and the human dynamics of participation in shared online environments. A pioneer belongs here rather than in a narrower human-computer interaction node when the cited contribution is specifically about the group setting, not the individual interface.
