Jeffrey Naughton

Jeffrey Naughton is an American computer scientist who served as a professor and department chair of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he led the Wisconsin Database Group. He earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982 and a PhD from Stanford University in 1987, and was on the faculty at Princeton University from 1987 to 1989 before returning to Wisconsin. He was site lead of Google's Madison office until 2022 and currently holds the position of SVP and Engineering Fellow at Celonis. His honors include the ACM Fellow designation in 2002, a Presidential Young Investigator Award in 1991, and the University of Wisconsin Vilas Award for research excellence.
