Michael James Carey is an American computer scientist who is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Computer Science in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine and a Consulting Architect at Couchbase Inc. He received the SIGMOD Edgar F. Codd Innovations Award in 2005.
