Raghu Ramakrishnan is a researcher in database and information management who is a Technical Fellow at Microsoft. He previously served as a Vice President and Research Fellow at Yahoo, and spent 22 years as a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With Johannes Gehrke, he authored the widely used textbook Database Management Systems, known as the Cow Book. He received the SIGMOD Edgar F. Codd Innovations Award in 2018.
