Don Towsley

Networks

Donald Fred Towsley (born 1949) is an American computer scientist who has been a Distinguished University Professor in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His work focuses on network measurement, modeling and analysis, and he has served as editor-in-chief of IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and as chair of IFIP Working Group 7.3 on computer performance evaluation. He is one of the founders of the Computer Performance Foundation. He received the ACM SIGCOMM Award in 2008, the IEEE Koji Kobayashi Computers and Communications Award in 2007, and the ACM SIGMETRICS Achievement Award in 2007.
