Peter D. Eades, born January 8, 1952, is an Australian computer scientist and emeritus professor in the School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney, known for his expertise in graph drawing. He co-authored the book Graph Drawing: Algorithms for the Visualization of Graphs, wrote many highly cited papers on topics including spring algorithms and heuristics for reducing edge crossings, and has supervised more than 30 graduate students.
