Shimon Even was an Israeli computer scientist whose research centered on algorithms, graph theory and cryptography. He was a member of the Computer Science Department at the Technion in Haifa from 1974 onward and served as the doctoral advisor of Oded Goldreich, who became a prominent cryptographer.
