Carl Malamud

Carl Malamud (born July 2, 1959) is an American technologist, author, and public domain advocate known for his foundation Public.Resource.Org. As founder and president of the Internet Multicasting Service, based in Washington, D.C., he was responsible for developing the first Internet radio station, for putting the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR database online, and for creating the Internet 1996 World Exposition. He is the author of eight books, including Exploring the Internet and A World's Fair, and a former chairman of the Internet Software Consortium.
