Chuck Peddle (1937 to 2019) was an American engineer who worked at Motorola and General Electric before joining MOS Technology, where he served as the main designer of the MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor. The inexpensive and efficient 6502 became a driving force in the personal computer revolution, powering machines such as the Apple II, the Commodore 64 and the Atari 2600, and Peddle himself designed the KIM-1 single board computer and the Commodore PET personal computer built around the chip.
