Craig Gentry (born 1973) is an American computer scientist and cryptographer, currently chief technology officer of TripleBlind, known for developing the first fully homomorphic encryption scheme during his doctoral research at Stanford University under Dan Boneh. The work earned him the ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2009 and the ACM Grace Murray Hopper Award in 2010. He received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2014 and shared the Godel Prize in 2022 with Zvika Brakerski and Vinod Vaikuntanathan. Before his current role he was a research scientist at the Algorand Foundation and at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center.
