Edward Delano Lazowska, known as Ed Lazowska, born August 3, 1950, is an American computer scientist. He is the Bill and Melinda Gates Chair Emeritus in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, having retired in 2025 after 48 years on the faculty.
