Elaine Jessica Weyuker is an ACM Fellow, an IEEE Fellow since 2003 and an AT&T Fellow at Bell Labs for research in software metrics and testing, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. She is the author of over 130 papers in journals and refereed conference proceedings and holds a PhD in computer science from Rutgers University and an MSE from the University of Pennsylvania. Before AT&T Labs she was on the faculty of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, a faculty member at the City University of New York, a systems engineer at IBM and a programmer at Texaco. She was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2002 for contributions to software testing, reliability and measurement and for developing mathematical foundations for software testing, received the IEEE Computer Society Harlan D. Mills Award in 2004 and the ACM SIGSOFT Outstanding Research Award in 2007, and chaired the ACM-W Council. She co-wrote the textbook Computability, Complexity, and Languages with Martin Davis and Ron Sigal.
