Frank Evans Heart (May 15, 1929 to June 24, 2018) was an American computer engineer influential in computer networking. After nearly fifteen years at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Heart worked for Bolt, Beranek and Newman from 1966 to 1994, during which he led the team that designed the first routing computer for the ARPANET, the predecessor to the Internet.
