Frank Wilfred Jordan (6 October 1881 - 12 January 1941) was a British physicist who, working with William Henry Eccles, developed the flip-flop circuit in 1918, a foundational invention for electronic binary storage in later computers. Born in Canterbury, Kent, he attended Simon Langton Grammar School and studied at the Royal College of Science from 1899 to 1904, and worked as a physics lecturer and later as an electrician at the City and Guilds Technical College.
