Marissa Ann Mayer, born 30 May 1975, is an American business executive, software engineer and investor. She was a long-time Google executive, its employee number 20 and its first woman software engineer, and became known there as a usability leader and key spokesperson for the company. From 2012 to 2017 she served as president and chief executive officer of Yahoo, until its sale to Verizon. She later co-founded the company Sunshine and, after its assets were acquired in 2025, founded the artificial intelligence company Dazzle AI.
