Thomas Stephen Edward Maibaum is a computer scientist whose research has concentrated on the theory of specification and its application in software engineering. He has held academic posts at Imperial College London, King's College London, and McMaster University, and from 1996 to 2005 was involved in developing international standards for the ALGOL 60 and ALGOL 68 programming languages as a member of the International Federation for Information Processing's Working Group 2.1.
