Boo (programming language)

Object-Oriented Language

Boo is an object-oriented programming language for the .NET and Mono platforms, created by Rodrigo Barreto de Oliveira beginning in 2003, with a syntax deliberately inspired by Python's clean, indentation-based style combined with static typing and type inference. Boo compiles to Common Intermediate Language bytecode and interoperates directly with other .NET languages, and it became notable in the game industry for its use as the primary scripting language in early versions of the Unity game engine, before Unity later moved to C# as its principal scripting language.
