All Statistical and Numeric Computing Languages

Languages designed for statistics, numerical work and the display of data, used heavily by scientists and analysts. R is a language for statistical computing and data visualization, and MATLAB is a multi-paradigm language and numeric computing environment from MathWorks that supports matrix manipulation and the plotting of functions and data. R is widely used in data mining, bioinformatics, data analysis and data science, while MATLAB, whose name means Matrix Laboratory, allows the implementation of algorithms and the creation of user interfaces.
