Perseus was a vacuum-tube computer built by Ferranti Ltd of Great Britain, developed from the Ferranti Pegasus for large-scale data processing and, alongside the later Orion and Sirius systems, was Ferranti's first production machine marketed toward commercial users. It used an automatic checking method, and two units were sold, both to overseas insurance companies, in 1959.
