Amazon Redshift

Database Management System

Amazon Redshift is a data warehouse product that forms part of the Amazon Web Services cloud computing platform. It is built on technology from the massive parallel processing data warehouse company ParAccel to handle large scale data sets and database migrations, differing from Amazon's other hosted database offering, Amazon RDS, in its ability to handle analytic workloads on big data sets stored under a column-oriented DBMS principle; a Redshift cluster can hold up to 16 petabytes of data.
