SISNE plus is a DOS 3.3 compatible operating system created in Brazil by Itautec and Scopus Tecnologia before the end of the country's Market Reserve policy in 1991, which at the time barred the import of foreign electronic equipment and software for general use. It was distributed with Itautec's IS 30 and IS 386 computers as a proprietary, locally developed alternative to imported disk operating systems. Its predecessor, SISNE, offered a version compatible with DOS 1.1 and presented a user interface similar to CP/M-80. Once Brazil's import restrictions were lifted, MS-DOS became widely available and SISNE plus was discontinued.
