Z22

Commercial Computer

The Z22 was the seventh computer model developed by Konrad Zuse, one of the early commercial computers, with its design finished around 1955. The jump from the Z11 to the Z22 came from adopting vacuum tubes in place of the electromechanical relay systems used in Zuse's earlier models; altogether 55 Z22 computers were produced by Zuse KG, the first machines shipped to customers in Berlin and Aachen.
