JS++ is a programming language for web development that extends JavaScript with a sound static type system while remaining a superset of the ECMAScript family. Designed by Roger Poon and Anton Rapetov and developed by Onux, JS++ first appeared on October 8, 2011 and supports imperative, structured, object-oriented, functional and generic programming styles, with a gradual typing discipline that mixes static and dynamic checking. It draws influence from C, C++, C#, Java and JavaScript itself. JS++ is free and open-source software released under a BSD license, distributed with file extensions including .jspp, .js++ and .jpp, with its most recent stable release, version 0.10.0, issued in December 2021.
