The Edwards-curve Digital Signature Algorithm, or EdDSA, is a digital signature scheme in public-key cryptography that uses a variant of the Schnorr signature based on twisted Edwards curves. It was designed to be faster than existing digital signature schemes without sacrificing security, developed by a team that included Daniel J. Bernstein, Niels Duif, Tanja Lange, Peter Schwabe and Bo-Yin Yang, and its reference implementation is public-domain software.
