Dyalog APL is a commercial implementation of the APL array programming language, developed by Dyalog Limited beginning in 1983 and remaining in active development and wide use in the financial and actuarial industries today. Dyalog APL extended traditional APL with object-oriented programming features, native file and namespace support, and a modernized development environment, while preserving APL's characteristic dense, symbol-based array notation. It is one of the most widely used APL implementations still commercially supported.
