Srini Devadas

Srini Devadas is an Indian-American computer scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory who specializes in computer security, computer architecture and applied cryptography, known for his contributions to the development of silicon physical unclonable functions. He earned a B.Tech in electrical engineering from IIT Madras in 1985 and a master's and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has been a member of MIT's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department since 1988. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery, and received the IEEE Edward J. McCluskey Technical Achievement Award in 2014, the IEEE Computer Society W. Wallace McDowell Award in 2017, and the ACM-IEEE CS Eckert-Mauchly Award in 2026 for pioneering contributions to secure architectures with broad industrial and academic impact.
