Quantum Computing and Information

This group gathers pioneers of theory of computation whose primary contribution was quantum computing and quantum information, including quantum algorithms and quantum complexity theory, quantum error correction, quantum cryptography and key distribution, and the experimental physics of qubits, quantum entanglement and quantum communication that quantum computers and quantum networks are built from. It follows the Quantum computation theory heading of the ACM Computing Classification System under Theory of Computation. Their shared work is computation and communication that exploits quantum mechanical phenomena, as distinct from classical algorithm design or classical complexity theory.
