Arvind Mithal (18 May 1947 to 17 June 2024), known mononymously as Arvind, was an Indian computer scientist and the Johnson Professor of Computer Science and Engineering in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and of the Association for Computing Machinery, and was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2008 for contributions to dataflow and multithread computing and to the development of tools for the high-level synthesis of digital electronics hardware.
