Carl Kesselman is an American computer scientist specializing in grid computing technologies, a term he developed with professor Ian Foster in their book The Grid: Blueprint for a New Computing Infrastructure. He co-led the Globus Toolkit project for computational grid systems, is an institute fellow at the University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute, was elected an ACM Fellow in 2017, and shared the IEEE Computer Society Harry H. Goode Memorial Award with Foster in 2020.
