David C. Parkes, born 1973, is a British-American computer scientist who holds the George F. Colony Professorship of Computer Science at Harvard University, where he has served as Dean of the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and as co-faculty director of the Harvard Data Science Initiative. His research addresses artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, machine learning, and microeconomics, with particular focus on incentive engineering for computational systems, combinatorial auction design, and decentralized mechanism design.
