Donna Dubinsky

Donna Dubinsky is an American businesswoman and technology entrepreneur, born in 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, who served as CEO of Palm, Inc. and played a central role in developing the personal digital assistant. She co-founded Handspring in 1995 with Jeff Hawkins, which became a smartphone market leader with its Treo device, and later co-founded Numenta in 2005 with Hawkins and Dileep George to pursue machine intelligence based on neocortex principles, serving as its board chair from 2005 to 2024. Earlier in her career she worked at Apple Computer and led international sales and marketing at Apple's Claris subsidiary from 1986 to 1991. Dubinsky earned a bachelor's degree in history from Yale University in 1977 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1981.
