Kathleen McKeown is an American computer scientist and the Henry and Gertrude Rothschild Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University, where she is founding director of the Institute for Data Sciences and Engineering, specializing in natural language processing. Her research has included the Newsblaster system, which performs multi document summarization to automatically generate summary news stories drawn from multiple news sources, alongside work on automatic text generation and discourse strategies.
