Tadashi Watanabe (born October 1944) is a Japanese computer engineer who played a central role in the development of the NEC SX supercomputer architecture. He has served as project manager of the RIKEN Next-Generation Supercomputer Research and Development Center. He received the ACM-IEEE Eckert-Mauchly Award in 1998 and the IEEE Seymour Cray Computer Engineering Award in 2006.
