Sinclair QDOS

Operating System

QDOS is the multitasking operating system found on the Sinclair QL personal computer and its clones. It was designed by Tony Tebby while working at Sinclair Research as an in house alternative to 68K/OS, later cancelled by Sinclair but released by its original authors, GST Computer Systems. The name is not regarded as an acronym and is sometimes written Qdos; during early development it was referred to internally as Domesdos. Entity-backed identity for the license enum value this item already carries, resolved to a software license concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The license fact itself stays on the item unchanged.
