Home›Computing Methodologies›Machine LearningGroupMachine LearningThis group gathers pioneers of computing methodologies whose primary contribution was building systems that improve their own performance from data or experience rather than following only fixed rules, including statistical and deep learning, artificial neural networks and backpropagation, reinforcement learning, computational and probably approximately correct learning theory, evolutionary computation such as genetic algorithms and genetic programming, and the data science and bioinformatics disciplines that apply these learning techniques to new domains. It follows the Machine learning strand of the ACM Computing Classification System's Artificial intelligence area under Computing methodologies. Their shared work is a system that learns from examples, as distinct from a hand engineered reasoning system, a vision or language specific application of learning, or an autonomous physical device.FactsBrowse BySourcesComments (0)Reader Challenges (0)FactsComparisonEra of EmergenceWell-attested1959 1Browse ByAll Machine LearningMachine Learning45 entriesMachine LearningFilter Results45 entriesFieldAllMachine Learning (45)BornAll1901 (1)1913 (1)1928 (1)1929 (1)1934 (1)1936 (2)1938 (1)1944 (1)1945 (1)1946 (1)1947 (1)1948 (2)1949 (1)1950 (1)1954 (1)1956 (1)1958 (1)1961 (2)1964 (1)1965 (2)1966 (1)1968 (2)1970 (3)1974 (2)1976 (1)1977 (1)1979 (1)1987 (1)2000 (2)ACM AreaAllArtificial Intelligence (6)Computational Learning Theory (2)Data Mining (1)Data Science (1)Digital Libraries (1)Evolutionary Computation (4)Information Retrieval (1)Machine Learning (27)Theory of Computation (1)GroupAllMachine Learning (45)NationalityAllAustralia (1)Canada (4)Denmark (1)Finland (2)France (1)Germany (2)India (2)Iran (1)Israel (2)Norway (1)Russia (3)South Korea (2)Ukraine (1)United Kingdom (3)United States (22)Show ResultsBrowseCompareSelect all 45Alexey ChervonenkisComputing Methodologies1 linkAlexey IvakhnenkoComputing Methodologies1 linkAndrew BartoComputing Methodologies2 linksAndrew NgComputing Methodologies2 linksAnima AnandkumarComputing Methodologies1 linkArthur SamuelComputing Methodologies3 linksBernhard SchölkopfComputing Methodologies1 linkCarla BrodleyComputing Methodologies1 linkCharu C.
