Scripting Language

VBScript (Visual Basic Scripting Edition) is a deprecated Active Scripting language developed by Microsoft that is modeled on Visual Basic, designed as a lightweight scripting language for the Internet Explorer web browser and the Windows Script Host. VBScript uses the Component Object Model to access elements of the environment within which it is running, and Microsoft announced its deprecation in 2019, removing it from Windows entirely in later releases.
