Stuart Feldman is an American computer scientist best known as the creator of the Make software build program. He was also an author of the first Fortran 77 compiler, part of the original Bell Labs group that created the Unix operating system, participated in developing the ALTRAN and EFL programming languages, served as president of the ACM in 2006, and received ACM's Software System Award in 2003 for creating Make.
