Scripting Language

AppleScript is a scripting language created by Apple Inc. that facilitates automated control over scriptable Mac applications. First introduced in System 7, it is currently included in all versions of macOS. Scripts can be compiled into executable applications, and AppleScript's syntax was designed to be understandable by non-programmers, reading as close to natural English-language sentences as reasonably possible.
