Fuchsia (operating system)

Fuchsia is an open source, capability based operating system developed by Google and built on a custom kernel named Zircon rather than the Linux kernel used for ChromeOS and Android. It first appeared publicly as a Google hosted Git repository in August 2016 with no official announcement, and its official product launch came in 2021 on the first generation Google Nest Hub, where it replaced the Linux based Cast OS that device had originally run.
