Red (programming language)

Red is a general-purpose, multi-paradigm programming language created by Nenad Rakocevic, first released in 2011, designed as a modern successor to Rebol with the explicit goal of being suitable for both very high-level scripting and, through an included low-level dialect called Red/System, for systems programming close to the metal, all within one unified toolchain. Red supports metaprogramming through its homoiconic, dialecting design inherited from Rebol, in which code and data share the same underlying representation, allowing programmers to define custom domain-specific sublanguages within Red itself.
